Room moods

Before buying paint or furniture, it helps to see a direction. This repository holds interior mood prompts we run through Raphael AI, a free AI image generator (https://raphael.app), to compare options for a room renovation.

Describe the room, not just the style

“Scandinavian living room” returns the same catalogue image everyone has seen. Add the real constraints:

• window position and size, ceiling height, floor material
• one existing piece you are keeping (a green sofa, a pine table)
• time of day you use the room most

Sample prompts

• small north-facing study with tall window, oak floor, keeping a dark green velvet armchair, warm lamp light, evening, realistic
• narrow galley kitchen with white tiles and terracotta floor, morning light, open shelves with ceramics, no people
• children's bedroom under a sloped ceiling, skylight, pale yellow walls, simple wooden bunk bed, soft daylight

Comparing options

Generate the same room three times in Raphael AI, changing only the wall colour or the lighting phrase. Print them side by side. Decisions get easier when variables are isolated.

Reality check

Generated rooms ignore building codes and real furniture dimensions. Use them for mood and palette, then measure.
